Up high, down low and everywhere in between. That’s
where homeowners told Eureka they wanted a vacuum to go.
Eureka responded with the new Eureka Altima upright
vacuum designed with three industry-first inventions that
achieve a more complete clean by reaching surfaces beyond
just the floor.
“People want to simplify every facet of their lives,
including household cleaning,” said Randy Sandlin, director
of industrial design at Eureka. “Eureka’s solution
was to design an all-in-one vacuum with a variety of different
tools to tackle many different cleaning jobs around the house.”
The new Altima from Eureka (2971BVZ) is the latest example
of Eureka’s commitment to developing innovative vacuums
with unique features and tools that help users clean better
and easier. Eureka’s design team spent months perfecting
three exclusive tools that promise to give more to consumers
– more cleaning performance and function in more areas
of the home.
Up High: In addition to taking care of floors, the Eureka
Altima upright vac makes it easier to reach dirt on ceiling
fans, blinds, crown molding and other hard-to-reach places.
Incorporated into the design of Altima is an improved version
of Eureka’s acclaimed Spin Duster feather duster, now
with a telescoping handle that extends up to 36 inches.
The new Telescopic Self Cleaning Duster is the industry’s
only high-tech feather duster that attracts dust like a magnet.
A simple flick of a switch sets the duster in motion inside
its holster, quickly spinning it around to build up an electrostatic
charge that grabs hold of dust and dirt instantly. When the
duster is placed back into the holster, the dirt is suctioned
directly into the machine with another flip of the switch
– no messy shaking is required and dirt is completely
contained.
Down Low: The new Altima vacuum cleaners (2971BVZ) also features
Eureka’s exclusive Powered Edge Kleener™, an innovative
tool developed to reach pesky dirt and dust that nestle along
walls and carpet edges. Eureka’s designers added a circular
spinning brush on one side of the vacuum that reaches within
millimetres of baseboard edges – so less time is spent
going over and over these areas with multiple cleaning tools.
Why put the Powered Edge Kleener on just one side of the
vacuum? “Good suction is the key to cleaning edges thoroughly,”
said Sandlin. “Eureka smartly placed this spinning brush
where the maximum suction power is – near the suction
hose.”
Everywhere In-between: No more sideways, upside-down, or
other awkward wrist positions when cleaning stairs and upholstery.
Altima also features the Eureka-invented Riser Visor®,
a flip-top hood, for its Power Paw stair and upholstery brush.
This is the only on-board tool that cleans both horizontally
and vertically. Flip the Riser Visor shield up and it exposes
the brush on an angle that makes tackling stair risers and
upholstery backs a breeze. Flip the shield down and the brush
converts to horizontal cleaning for upholstery seats and stair
steps.
Leave vacuum filters and bags off the shopping list. To simplify
the cleaning process even further, Eureka made the Altima
upright vacuum cleaner virtually maintenance-free.
Eureka Altima vacuums features a washable filter, so virtually
no replacements are necessary. The filter is cleaned simply
by rinsing it in water and allowing it to dry. An easy-empty
bagless dust cup means no desperate searches trying to find
the right bags. And, the dust cup’s see-through design
allows users to see when it needs to be emptied.
