People with bare floors will have one tool to both dry-
and wet-clean their sealed hardwood, laminates, marble, tile
or vinyl. Debuting in September, BISSELL
FLIP-IT is a dry
vacuum and wet cleaning unit for hard floors.
The dry side vacuums up debris, and then the unit can be
easily “flipped” around to wet clean. When
the trigger is squeezed, water and BISSELL’s specially
formulated cleaning solution is dispensed through the Gentle
Clean™ brush or pad on the forward stroke. On the pull
back, a squeegee leaves the floor dry.
“Our research shows us that people want clean homes,
but they have little time to dedicate to the type of thorough
cleaning desired. At the same time, bare floors are becoming
more and more popular,” said Jim Krzeminski, BISSELL’s
senior vice president of sales, marketing and product development.
“The Flip-It floor cleaner brings the broom, mop and
drying steps together into one easy-to-use, lightweight tool,” he
added.
Weighing in at less than 10 pounds, the Flip-It vacuum is
the lightest weight dual hard floor cleaner and is easy to
store and maneuver. The new product’s other attributes
include:
- An interchangeable Gentle Clean™ brush and pad,
which allows the consumer to tailor the cleaning tool based
on flooring type and preference.
- It is effective and safe to use on hard surfaces,
including sealed hardwood, vinyl, laminate, slate and
tile floors.
- An extra handle, which offers more effective control
and ability to maneuver in tight spots and under cabinets.
BISSELL will also introduce two specially formulated cleaning
solutions to accompany the Flip-It floor vacuum cleaner.
The Wood Floor Solution™ will
target sealed hardwood floors and laminates, while the Hard
Floor Solution™ will be used on linoleum, vinyl and
ceramic tile. Both cleaners have been designed to remove
tough dirt and leave a natural shine. Both can be used in
other manufacturers’ hard floor cleaning machines.
The Flip-It (suggested retail price is $99.99) will be available
