There aren't really too many Makita vacuum cleaners on the market, Makita is more known for power tools than they are for cleaning supplies. Makita's selection of vacuums is limited mostly to stick vacuum cleaners.
All models are cordless and very light (about 2 lbs) in weight. They run on battery power that consists of 9.6 volts of power. When fully charged the vac has up to 20 minutes of continuous use from a single charge. There vacuums are not for heavy duty work, just for light pickups of dirt and debris. They can be used for quick cleaning on floors and stairs. Choose between 2 different settings. And don't worry about the noise level, it's pretty low at only 67db.
* Apparently the battery and charger are not included when you purchase a Makita so make sure to find out exactly what you are buying before you pay.
"This vacuum works perfect for me to vacuum up the floor just prior to mopping it. It's light and easy to use. The only time I have to bend down is to get under the couch. I can't recommend using it on carpet, but it's works perfectly to clean up tiles and hardwood floors."
